In a context of multiple crises, tourism activity as we know it is faltering and the possibility of international flights is constantly becoming more difficult. Even so, we are faced with a contradictory scenario where threats of airport expansionsare still in force. To better understand the current context, we invite organisations and experts in the field to discuss climate change, evictions and governance.

The first seminar will take place on Tuesday 13th of December and will focus on the constraints of international air transport regulation. Particular attention will be paid to the impact of climate change on the aviation industry and the governance responses needed to address it at international, national and municipal levels. The second seminar, to be held the following day, the 14th of December, will examine the displacement of local communities as a result of airport projects and shed light on current dynamics and trends in this area.

Both seminars will last one hour and will be in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. Registrations are separate, if you wish to attend both seminars you must register twice. The videos will be available for later retrieval on Alba Sud's YouTube channel.
